I was introduced to Phil and the SFM team through a friend.  I've been grateful that he's maintained my "little pot of gold" over the last several, troubled years.  He takes a broad, and considered, view of what is going on in the world and how the past has affected world markets and finance.

 I like the fact that Phil does listen to what I say and has modified his reports to include information that I want in them so I can make better performance comparisons.  The periodic investment updates are useful since I can't devote as much time to my financial reading as I'd like.

I find that we agree on many points and he is always happy to discuss the whys and wherefores of any decision. He doesn't take it personally when I ask him awkward questions about his investment decisions and backs them with a well reasoned set of arguments.  (I must admit to playing devil's advocate sometimes but I /think/ he's forgiven me.)

 The SFM team are helpful, polite and proactive, looking to protect all of my investments - not just my pension - for my family and me.  They take a rounded view of everything - like setting up trusts, etc.
